In an effort to prevent this from happening in the future, we have chosen to post any and all checks that have not been made good - it is understandable that accidents  happen, but passing a check on an account that has been closed is considered a felony!

Bad Check Laws

Wisconsin. Up to $1,000 fine or one year in jail.   Reimbursement in the amount of check plus actual damages and exemplary damages not to exceed treble face amount of check. The charge for a return check is $40.00 - Payment will be accepted in the form of cash or certified funds.
